YOUR COACH

Meet Dave

"I became an engineer to avoid working with people. That didn't work out like I expected."
ABOUT DAVE
Dave Harp spent 28 years as a consulting engineer. He chose engineering, at least in part, because it seemed like a field where the problems were concrete. Where you could measure, calculate, and solve. A field where the answers didn't depend on people being unpredictable.

He was wrong about that, of course.

Over nearly three decades of professional problem-solving, Dave kept running into the same discovery: the technical problems weren't actually the hard part. The hard part was always the people. The assumptions that went unquestioned. The conversations that never happened. The patterns that everyone could see but no one addressed. The room full of capable, well-meaning professionals that somehow couldn't get out of their own way.
"People dynamics are almost always the root cause of the hardest problems. Technical solutions alone are never enough."
That realization didn't send Dave straight into coaching. It sent him on a longer path. Personal experiences. Professional challenges. A lot of honest reflection about the ways his own thinking had been shaping his outcomes. Eventually, that path led to Juvenesce.
WHAT DAVE ACTUALLY DOES

Dave works with individuals, teams, and organizations who are dealing with the kind of problems that don't show up neatly on a spreadsheet.

The professional who keeps having the same frustrating conversations and can't figure out why.
The business owner who's technically excellent but losing sleep over team dynamics.
The team that has real talent but zero traction.
The leader who knows exactly what needs to change and hasn't been able to make it happen.
The owner who has a great business but whose home life is a wreck.
His approach isn't therapy, and it isn't a 12-step system. It's structured, practical, and relentlessly focused on the doing, not just the knowing.
"Most people don't have a knowledge problem. They have a doing problem."
They've read the books. They know what they should do. The question is why they're not doing it and what gets in the way. The work is about finding that answer. Uncovering the beliefs that have been normalized into assumptions, the patterns that have been calcified into habits, the maps of reality that have gotten outdated without anyone noticing. And then, carefully, practically, doing something about it.
HOW HE WORKS

The Philosophy

Dave's engineering background shapes everything about how he coaches. He doesn't trade in vague inspiration or surface-level advice. He brings structure to situations that feel chaotic, clarity to problems that feel unsolvable, and patience for the kind of slow, real change that actually sticks.
Curiosity over judgment
Ask better questions before drawing conclusions. Most of the stories we tell ourselves about other people are incomplete at best.
Clarity over assumption
A lot of friction in relationships, in teams, or in our own heads, comes from things we've never actually said out loud. Naming them is usually the hardest and most useful step.
Structure over vague advice
Insight without a path forward is just an interesting conversation. Every engagement moves toward something concrete.
The doing over the knowing
The value of this work doesn't come from Dave. It comes from your willingness to engage, reflect, and actually change something.

A NOTE FROM DAVE
"The best version of you isn't hiding. It's just waiting for you to stop getting in your own way."
If any of this resonates, if you're reading it and thinking yes, that's exactly what I'm dealing with, the best next step is a conversation.

No intake forms. No pressure. Just an honest talk about what's going on and whether this kind of work makes sense for where you are.
